ABC will host the matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics on Thursday, with the pick scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. The game will take place at the TD Garden in Boston.
The Warriors will look to end the streak at the Garden as they go into Game 6 with a 3-2 lead after winning the last two games. They were able to keep Boston under 100 points in both games, making it much easier to end the contest in Game 5 despite a somewhat lackluster performance from Stephen Curry. Curry had just 16 points in the last game and he didn’t hit any shots from three-point land, ending his historic streak after recording 233 straight games with at least one three-pointer. Andrew Wiggins led the Dubs to a 104-94 Game 5 win with 26 points and 13 rebounds.
Curry will certainly try to recover and put in a more typical performance, but the Celtics will throw everything on the field to avoid ending Thursday’s streak. Jayson Tatum hit a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown was one board away from his own double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. Derrick White, who has averaged 11.2 points per game in the series, walked away with just a point that night, so Boston will have to see a much better performance from him and the other assists if they force a Game 7 back wants in San Francisco.
