Warriors’ Draymond Green trolls Jaylen Brown, Celtics after 2022 NBA Finals win

It’s safe to say that Draymond Green is enjoying the No. 4 Championship.

On Thursday, the Warriors defeated the Celtics in Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals to capture their fourth championship in eight seasons. Green had his ups and downs in the series, but he ended on a high note with 12 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks in clinch play.

Golden State is less than 24 hours away from winning the title, but the four-time All-Star wasted no time rubbing salt in Boston’s fresh wounds.

Early Friday, Green Celtics star Jaylen Brown clearly mocked with the following tweet:

Confused? let me explain.

After the Celtics improved to 26-25 with a win over the Pelicans in the 2021-22 regular season, Brown tweeted, “The energy is about to shift.” That marked the tipping point for Boston as it went the rest of the way 25-6 to finish with the second-best record in the Eastern Conference and set the stage for a run to the Finals.

Brown’s tweet became something of a rallying cry for the Celtics in the second half of the season.

Green also shared a video ESPN posted of him dressed all in black ahead of Game 6, saying his outfit was “for a funeral.”

As if that wasn’t enough, Green added his own twist to Boston’s “It’s all about 18” shirt, which of course referenced the franchise’s pursuit of Banner #18.

The Golden State celebrations are just getting started. The parade is still a few days away, and something tells me that’s not all we’ll be hearing from Green by the start of next season.
