Twitter is reacting to the Warriors’ historic 21-0 run against the Celtics, which originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
After a slow start to Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, the Warriors made their mark with a historic run to wrap up the first quarter and move into the second.
Golden State was 22-16 behind Boston, 2:30 into the first game, and on a 21-0 run, the longest scoring streak in a finals game in over 50 years.
Everything was going well for the Warriors and they got important input from star players like Jordan Poole, Draymond Green, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Gary Payton II. Twitter had fun with the Celtics imploding in the first half.
The Warriors ended the first half with a comfortable 54-39 win over the Celtics just 24 minutes from lifting their fourth Larry O’Brien Trophy in eight seasons.
Luckily for Boston, they already closed a sizable Warriors lead after halftime, closing a 15-point deficit late in the third quarter of Game 1. The Warriors would be wise to step on the gas against this Celtics team.
