nobody movie_The versatile actress is set to push boundaries with her upcoming projects – Opinion News, Firstpost

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is celebrating her 35th birthday today. The actress has biggies like Citadel, Yashoda and Shaakuntalam under her kitty.

That is Samantha Ruth Prabhu‘s first birthday in twelve years that she won’t be celebrating her special day with the (former?) love of her life Dragon Chaitanyaher friend and soulmate since 2010 when they met on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave.

It was love at first fight… and I mean fight. This couple argued until sunset and returned the next morning to argue some more. But hell, they loved each other. Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna once told me that sam was his mate – bahu long before his son actually married her.

The dream romance melted and melted into a fairytale wedding in 2016. Samantha shared her excitement, saying that she and Chaitanya were destined to be married from birth. He supported her in all her endeavors — including her impromptu trip to the US when she took off with just $30 in her wallet.

“He’s an important part of my journey as a person and as an actor,” she told me emotionally.

What happened then? Nobody knows why Samantha left Chaitanya. Mutual friends were shocked. Even Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna did not know that this was coming. Whatever her reasons for deciding to end her marriage, we should all have respected her right to do so.

With an embarrassing lack of basic decency, the two stars’ fan clubs found themselves in a battle zone, further deepening the rift between the pair. Any chance of a reconciliation – and there was initially a valid argument for a patchwork facilitated by the couple’s parents – was dashed by the ugly back-and-forth of accusations and counter-accusations.

Ironically, Samantha and Chaitanya remained silent, and yet the latter was accused of “slandering” and “shaming” Samantha. One pro-feminist website even told me they would not publish a defense of Chaitanya’s family in the breakup because they “knew” that “Sam” was “slandered” by Nagarjuna’s family.

That, let me say, is dead wrong, and Sam knows it too. Chaitanya, his father Nagarjuna and the Akkineni family respect her too much to sully her name. The monstrous mischief over the broken marriage was spearheaded by the two fan(aten) clubs with “fans” hurling barbs from both sides in the name of their idol.

Whatever her reason for leaving the seemingly perfect marriage, Samantha deserves her right to do whatever she wants with her life and career. Who are we to judge them? And who are the tyrants in Telugu film industry trying to block her career because she is a “bad wife”?

Unfortunately, there are such bigoted elements in the Telugu film industry and Samantha is now planning to move to Mumbai to further her career.

After separating from her husband, Samantha receives tempting offers. But the heroes hesitate to work with her. Sridevi Productions, a leading Telugu banner, has signed her for a heroine-oriented film. But they are unable to find a leading man. Many Telugu film industry A-listers are friends of Nagarjuna. They’re wary of offending Nag, even though he’s not the type to hold grudges. Also, Nag loves his former daughter-in-law.

Samantha is in exactly the same position as Dimple Kapadia (née Khanna) following her decision to separate from her superstar husband Rajesh Khanna. When, 11 years after her sensation, Dimple decided to return to cinema Bobby, Chamcha elements from Rajesh Khanna’s camp felt that “Kakaji isn’t going to like this”.

Many filmmakers stayed away from Kapadia until then Ramesh Sippy barked the cat too Sagar. Samantha needs her sippy and Sagar. And I hope she finds them soon. She deserves the best.
