nobody movie_Harvey Weinstein tried to fire Minnie Driver from Good Will Hunting

Minnie Driver claims she would never have starred in ‘Good Will Hunting’ if Harvey Weinstein had his way.

The actress claimed so in a new interview with the British Times that the disgraced film producer allegedly told a casting director — along with producer and star Matt Damon — that “nobody would f-k want them.”

The English-born actress – who dated Damon during filming – said she was “so devastated” by the alleged comment at the time until she considered the source.

“This is an unspeakable pig. Why on earth are you worried about this fk saying you’re not sexy? Driver, 52, said of Weinstein, 70.

“But that has consequences: maybe I won’t get hired because people think I don’t have the required sexual quality.”

She continued: “How awful to think I was one of the lucky ones [who escaped him] because he thought I wasn’t f–kable. And how amazing and wonderful that it has turned around and young men and women in my industry are not going to see that.”

The 1997 Gus Van Sant film earned Driver an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress, although the award went to Kim Basinger for LA Confidential.

As for Weinstein, the former Miramax co-founder is serving a 23-year sentence on charges of rape and sexual assault following his February 2020 conviction.

He is is awaiting trial on additional sex crimes charges in a California court to which he pleaded not guilty.

As Page Six previously reported, more than 80 women accused Weinstein of sexual abuse in 2017, and he was arrested and charged the following year.

While Driver wasn’t among the women to make allegations of abuse, she was previously claimed that her experience with him was uncomfortable and sexist.

“He didn’t want to cast me [in ‘Good Will Hunting’] … but that’s just business,” she said said the New York Times in February 2018. “I got off lightly with him. I really did. When we talk about sexual harassment, it’s not about sex, it’s about power.”
