You will be curious to know another language.”

“We did that with English… It’s not our language, but I won’t lose Tamil or Marathi for that,” the actor added. ALSO READ: Rajinikanth and I are good friends despite our political differences, says Kamal Haasan

“Shantaram ji made pan-Indian films. ‘Padosan’ is a pan-Indian film. Mehmood ji spoke almost Tamil in the film. What do you call ‘Mughal-e-Azam’? It’s a pan-Indian film for me. Our country is unique. Unlike America, we speak different languages, but we are united. That’s the beauty of this country,” he added.

The actor continued, “We will always do pan-India films. It depends on how good and universal the film is. Then everyone would like to see him. ‘Chemmeen’, a Malayalam film, was a pan-India film. They didn’t even dub it, there were no subtitles and people enjoyed it.”
