“Merry bloody Christmas!” David Harbours #ViolenceNight is like DIE HARD, but the hero is… Santa? A family is taken hostage and Harbor arrives as Santa to save the day. From the people behind JOHN WICK & NOBODY. Super intense. Another wild one for the midnight crowd #CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/HrVbab7blI

Okay, that’s what I really want to see from Focus Features: Violent Night! It’s Die Hard, but the hero is a Santa Claus in a mall! John Leguizamo is the villain. #ViolenceNight #CinemaCon #Cinemacon2022

Um, this Christmas Focus releases VIOLENT NIGHT in which David Harbor plays Santa Claus who helps rescue a family being held hostage.
He swings a sledgehammer, stabs people with ornaments, etc. Think Nobody+Die Hard+Santa Claus. Looks manic and adorable. #CinemaCon

“How about a movie that makes you sweat? … And I’m playing the bloody Santa in it?” asks VIOLENT NIGHT star David Harbour. It’s basically DIE HARD with Santa as John McClane. I’m starting to think I’m hallucinating some of these movies. #CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/4OeS83s5XG

VIOLENT NIGHT elicits a huge reaction from the crowd. It feels a bit like ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, except with Santa Claus instead of Honest Abe and a group of mercenaries instead of vampires. Harbor seems to get the job. Harmless (and gory) holiday fun.
