NHL picks tonight: Player prop bets for Avalanche vs. Lightning in Game 3 of Stanley Cup Final

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be scouting the Amalie Arena for a helping hand in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday, June 20th. The Avalanche lead the series 2-0 and go into Monday’s competition very strongly after a 7-0 win in Game 2. ABC and ESPN+ will handle the broadcast and live stream of the game with a planned puck drop 8:15 p.m. ET.

Avalanche vs. Lightning Game 3: Player Props (Odds by DraftKings Sportsbook)

Steven Stamkos, over 0.5 power play points (+135)

The Lightning haven’t achieved anything on the powerplay so far and that needs to change in Game 3. As the Lightning fight for man advantage, they start playing through Stamkos, who can fire one timers from the left circle pretty much anyone. Tampa Bay will have at least one power play goal Monday, and Stamkos is a good bet to net the puck.

Mikko Rantanen, over 0.5 assists (-125)

Colorado has grown strong through the power of its middle six forwards. Rantanen is a classic setup and does it with consistent strength and power play. He has five assists in the streak so far and with the Lightning all focused on stopping the Nathan MacKinnon-Gabe Landeskog line has allowed Rantanen to enjoy some favorable matchups.

Mikhail Sergachev, over 0.5 total points (+155)

If the Lightning want more chances on offense, they must turn to their defenders to join the charge. Sergachev has scored in two of the Lightning’s last four playoff games, and he’s the most aggressive of the Lightning defenders when it comes to joining the onslaught. He sends a few pucks into the net and either one goes through or he puts a teammate in front of the net.

Cale Makar over 0.5 power play points (+155)

I will take this number for every game with Makar’s talent. In Game 2, he scored shorthanded and scored on the power play.

Colorado was 3-on-7 on power plays in that series and Makar broke through in Game 2 with a goal. Tampa Bay won’t be in the penalty area as often in Game 3, but if Colorado gets the man advantage, Makar will aggressively seek the net.
