NBA World Reacts to Malcolm Brogdon-Celtics Trade

One of the most notable trades of the NBA offseason so far has centered on former Virginia men’s basketball star Malcolm Brogdon. The Boston Celtics traded Daniel Theis, Aaron Nesmith, Nik Stauskas, Malik Fitts, Juwan Morgan and a 2023 first-round pick to the Indiana Pacers for Brogdon.

The trade sends some assets and a future first-round pick to the rebuilding Pacers, and the Celtics get a key element they believe they’ve been lacking: a playful point guard. The defending Eastern Conference Champions will be an early favorite to return to the NBA Finals next season as they managed to land Brogdon while building their core of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Al Horford and Robert Williams retain several key role players on the roster.
