Known Celtics ref-complainer Grant Williams gets in some run in that role for Boston’s summer league squad

The well-known referee-complainant felt it was his duty to gain a greater appreciation for the craft, according to assistant coach (and Las Vegas Summer League head coach) Ben Sullivan. “It’s good for Grant to see how tough the job actually is so that if he’s hard on them, he has a better perspective,” Sullivan said.

When asked if Williams had it as hard as he gives the umpires with the flipped script for the Tennessee product, the Celtics Sin City coach replied negatively.
