Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Destroys Boston Celtics on Live TV

Lakers fans could breathe a sigh of relief a few weeks ago when the Boston Celtics lost the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors. A small, insignificant pleasure was the fact that the Celtics let the Warriors win the title in Boston at the TD Garden.

The rivalry between the Lakers and the Celtics dates back to the middle of the last century, but most would argue that the rivalry peaked in the 1980s. Boston and Los Angeles have faced each other in three NBA Finals within four years, with the Lakers winning two of the three matchups.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic took center stage and Cap still harbors a lot of grudges against the Celtics.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon, Kareem was asked what the best condiment was, and his response was downright ruthless.

“The Celtics’ tears of 1985 when they lost to the Lakers in the Finals.”

Some rivalries last forever.
