Game 3 of the NBA Finals is here. Both the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics are relatively healthy, with only a few players being considered questionable.
For the Warriors, Andre Iguodala (right knee), Gary Payton II (left elbow) and Otto Porter (left foot) are listed as doubtful. James Wiseman is out with a right knee injury.
The Celtics have only listed Robert Williams III as a questionable with right knee pain.
Although it’s only Game 3, tonight will be an incredibly crucial game for both the Warriors and Celtics. Boston hasn’t lost every straight playoff and has already managed to steal a game on the road at Golden State. They were very inconsistent in all of the playoffs, routinely winning by 20 and then losing by 20, but the only thing that was consistent was their ability to recover.
After the collapse of Epic Game 1, the sooner the Warriors can reclaim the home spot the better. Odds makers are overwhelmingly giving the Celtics greater odds of winning the NBA Finals after the first two games of the series, and that will surely change when the Warriors take over Game 3. There will be a massive morale boost in particular if Golden State can give the Celtics their first straight losses in the playoffs.
Game 3 begins at 6pm PST at TD Garden.
