How did Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka do in his first season on the job?

In his first season as head coach of the Boston Celtics, after one of the more dramatic turns of the season, head coach Ime Udoka guided a roughly .500-roster club to the NBA Finals with a far better roster than such a record in league history.

With his emphasis on accountability and trust, he not only improved the legendary franchise’s win rate for the 2021/22 season, but also its defending, passing and goal-scoring skills after a rocky start had some fans questioning whether the hiring by the new president of basketball operations was the right one.

The hosts of CLNS Media’s “A-List” podcast recently took a look back at how Udoka fared with the Celtics in his inaugural season as coach.

Watch the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say about the coach’s performance during the first year.
