The Boston Celtics are 3-2 against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. Despite injuries and complaints, the team are just a few games away from a possible championship title. Now Celtics fans can look forward to even more. Former Boston center Glen Davis will enter the boxing ring as part of Jake Paul’s upcoming pay-per-view.
NBA insider Shams Charania tweeted the news on Thursday morning.
Tire Boxing Crossover: 8-year NBA veteran Glen “Big Baby” Davis is scheduled to attend Jake Paul’s Aug. 13 PPV event, according to sources. Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions was working on Davis-Larry Sanders but are now evaluating a new opponent due to the Big 3 signing for Sanders.

Paul’s team worked to get former Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders to run against Davis. However, according to Charania, it’s unclear who will face “Big Baby” in August.
Davis is bound to put on a show no matter who’s up against him. The former Celtics center stands 6ft 9″ and weighs just under 300 pounds, which automatically makes him extremely intimidating in the ring.
When word got out that Davis would be joining him, Paul invited other pro athletes to take on the NBA champion. He tweeted Thursday morning when asked if any NFL or NHL stars “would be willing to get in the ring with Davis.”
Any NFL or NHL players ready to get in the ring with Big Baby?

Paul announced his return to the ring in early May and the August 13 event. However, he has not yet revealed who he will face in the main event. Paul has not fought since his sixth-round knockout victory over Tyron Woodley in December 2021. This will be Davis’ first professional boxing experience.
