Landry, 29 years old, has had the most receptions and targets in all of the NFL since his 2014 arrival.
Landry was drafted in the same year Davante Adam was arguably the league’s best receiver. Landry has 19 more catches (668 to 669) as well as 33 more targets (1.045 to 1.012) in seven additional career games (123-116).
After playing with the Miami Dolphins for four years, the five-time Pro Bowler spent the last four seasons with Browns. However, his output plummeted in 2021 as he posted career-lows of targets, yards, touchdowns and games played.
Landry is joining a New Orleans receiver group that includes Chris Olave, a new first-round pick, and Michael Thomas, the 2019 Offensive Players of the Year. Thomas missed the entire 2021 season due to a serious ankle injury, but will be back for the 2022 campaign.
The Saints also have one of the most talented running backs in the NFL, Alvin Kamara. With quarterback Jameis Winslow coming back from an ACL torn, Dennis Allen could be able to create an above-average offense.
Landry, who was born in Louisiana and attended Louisiana State University, is thrilled to be returning home.
