Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has cooled off from trolling his Twitter followers of over two million in recent years. Every once in a while he’ll bounce back on the app and give something to the Sixers fans to speak panic about it.
A few weeks after losing Game 6 to the Miami Heat and being eliminated from the 2022 NBA playoffs, the Sixers were one of 26 teams sitting at home watching Conference Finals matchups.
On Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat battled it out in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals, and Joel Embiid live-tweeted through the matchup, which scared Sixers fans a little.

And here Embiid decided to troll his followers. In the past, Embiid has had harmless but trolling exchanges on social media with former Sixer and current Heat member Jimmy Butler, who teased the idea of Embiid going to Miami.
With Embiid and Butler being very close and wishing they were still teammates, the big man’s tweet caused quite a stir as it seemed he might want to be that extra “star” the Heat could use to make that happen to survive the Eastern Conference Finals.
end the joke
“Troel” Embiid knew exactly what he was doing on Wednesday night and clearly enjoyed it. Leaving Sixers fans confused after tweeting about the Miami Heat, Embiid laughed it off about 20 minutes later as the Celtics officially passed the Heat in a 93-80 win.
