The 2022-23 Colorado Avalanche schedule is in place, and opening night to raise the Stanley Cup banner is on October 12 at home against the Chicago Blackhawks.
I’m just going to paste the full Avalanche release here detailing things and listing the full schedule:
The National Hockey League today announced its 2022-23 regular season schedule, with the Colorado Avalanche raising their 2022 Stanley Cup Championship banner on opening night, October 12, before the game against the Chicago Blackhawks at the Ball Arena.
Colorado will face Chicago on opening night for the fourth time since moving to Denver (also 2003-04, 2010-11 and 2021-22). The Avs will start their season at home for the fifth straight season and seventh time in the last eight seasons. The team opens the season with a straight set for the first time since the 2007-08 season when they played Dallas at home and the following night in Nashville to start the season.
The Avalanche and Columbus Blue Jackets will face off in two regular season games on Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th at Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland as part of the NHL’s Global Series.
Colorado’s longest homestand includes five contests from December 13-21 and its longest road trip four games (4x – October 22-29, November 29-December 5, March 13-18, and April 4-9 ). The club will not be at the Ball Arena from October 22nd to November 9th, but that trip technically includes a home game as part of the Global Series.
Single-game preseason and regular season tickets go on sale July 18 at 10:00 am on ColoradoAvalanche.com. Fractional deposits can now be sold by calling the Avalanche Sales Office at 303.4AVS.NHL.
All 82 games can be heard on Altitude Radio Network, Altitude Sports Radio 92.5 FM or 950 AM. Altitude TV information will be announced at a later date.
