Former Alabama standout JD Davison was picked up by the Boston Celtics with the No. 53 pick selected in the 2022 NBA draft.
Davison’s explosive offensive skills will join some of the league’s rising stars in Boston. The Celtics were the 2021–2022 Eastern Conference champions and couldn’t win everything. Maybe Davison could offer a spark.
Davison was the nation’s top point guard to graduate from high school and chose to spend his only college season in Tuscaloosa. With the Crimson Tide, Davison averaged 8.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists. He’s got all the talent in the world, but having an NBA staffer to help him shape his game a little will also be crucial.
Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow former Alabama players in the NBA.
