Rookie Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser might not have been selected in the 2021 NBA draft, but the Celtics saw the sniper in him and signed a two-way deal with the University of Virginia product to bring the Green Bay, Wisconsin native getting into their system and getting him some burn with the Maine Celtics, their Portland-based G-League affiliate.
Hauser put the work in, and when it was clear his offensive play would transition to the NBA, Boston signed him to a regular deal soon after. After showing real growth as a player, Boston has signed him to a new three-year deal this offseason and believes Hauser can earn some ground time on the wing next season.
If you’re not too familiar with the sparsely played forward’s play, or just want to cheer on how the Celtics managed to find a 42% 3-point shot with greatness, kindly watch the clip embedded below permission of YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.
