AVALANCHE NOTEBOOK: Watch Parties At Ball Arena for Games 3 and 4

So you want to be part of a Stanley Cup experience at the arena but can’t travel to Tampa and/or pay exorbitant ticket prices for Games 3 and 4? Just like in Round 3 against Edmonton, the Colorado Avalanche are hosting watch parties for the two upcoming games in Tampa.

Ticket prices are $20 each this time, up from $10 last time. The Avalanche says all proceeds will go to Kroenke Sports Charities. Here you can find more information to get the tickets. I haven’t been there, but those who have been there say it’s a lot of fun, with merch and competitions and concessions and all that jazz.

For Game 2, another free watch party will be hosted by the Avalanche outside at Tivoli tomorrow – directly across from the Ball Arena. At 4:15 there is also a concert by someone called Griz. More information here.

I’m expecting a more physical Lightning team for Game 2. They’ll be looking to hit the Avs at every turn. The risk is penalties. And the Avalanche was able to knock them out early on the power play. But they have to convert.

Avs are -150 favorites to win Game 2 at SuperBook Colorado. Make sure you also check out their odds boosts before matches.

Jared Bednar on Nazem Kadri: “Getting better.”

Bednar: “For me, it only narrows our focus.” Bednar also about Kuemper: “I think he did a good job for us. We had big glitches in front of him on the goals that we gave up. Could he have made one up? Yes, perhaps. But considering he hasn’t played since May 31, I thought he did a really good job for us and looked really good in training today.”

Cale Makar didn’t have a shot on the net in Game 1, but seven shots were blocked.

Avalanche Lightning resale ticket prices break records.
