After assault at Celtics Game 4 watch party, Boston police seek to ID man

Boston police are trying to identify a man after a person was assaulted at a watch party for Game 4 of the NBA Finals last week, authorities said.

The aggravated attack took place around 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 10, during the Boston Celtics Game 4 Watch Party in Copley Square, the Boston Police Department said in a statement this week.

Two photos of the man, whom authorities want to identify, have been released by police. He wears orange Nike shorts, a black Champion t-shirt, and a necklace or chain.

Anyone with information on the man is advised to call Boston Police Detectives at (617) 343-4683.

WCVB reported that hundreds of people attended the free watch party hosted by the city on June 10 in Copley Square. However, the Celtics lost the game.

According to the news outlet, the video shows a person being pushed to the ground and beaten up by a group of people behind the big screen where Game 4 was being broadcast.
