2022 NBA Mock Draft 4.0: Week Of Draft Edition

#30 Denver Nuggets – F. David Roddy (Colorado State, Junior)

Should they stick with last pick in the first round, the Nuggets could be looking for either a draft-and-stash player or bench talent that offers a high advantage to immediately contribute to a championship-fighting team.

Finding shooters and scorers who can bypass Nikola Jokic is crucial, which is why David Roddy suddenly emerges as a first-round pick for the Denver Nuggets. Roddy developed relationships with the Nuggets during the pre-design process, and being from the state of Colorado, this seems like a scenario where we could see the “hometown kid” get some love in the draft.

While only 6-6 years old, Roddy possesses a wingspan of almost 7 feet and is built like an NFL linebacker, also weighing around 260 pounds. He attacks the color fairly quickly from the wing and David Roddy is definitely an above average ball handler and playmaker for a forward. Roddy shot 57.1% from the floor and 43.8% from three-pointers last year in college and can play on the wing right away in Denver behind Michael Porter Jr. and Will Barton.
